Iran eyes closer relations with Albania

New Albanian non-resident ambassador to Tehran met on Monday with President Hassan Rouhani and submitted his credentials to the president.

In the meeting, President Rouhani expressed the hope to witness much closer relations between the two countries.
Iran is ready to broaden economic and cultural relations with Albania, President Rouhani said, adding that the ground for activating economic, cultural and commercial cooperation should be prepared.
President Rouhani said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is keen on stability in Albania and good relations with Albania.
President Rouhani said that it is expected to witness closer relations between the two countries.
The new Albanian ambassador, for his part, said the Albanian nation praise the Iranians.
I will do my best to uphold relations and cooperation between the two countries during my tenure in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The world has reached the conclusion that Iran has a very significant status in the region and the world, the ambassador said.
