President calls for enhanced ties with Slovenia

President Hassan Rouhani, in a meeting on Monday with Sloveniaˈs new non-resident ambassador to Tehran, called for expansion of bilateral relations in different areas.

In the meeting during which the new accredited ambassador presented his credentials to the president, Dr.Rouhani said the ground should be prepared for further involvement of private sectors of both countries in bilateral cooperation.
President Rouhani also voiced Tehranˈs readiness to cooperate with Slovenia on international issues.
The president underlined the role of tourism industry as a base for promotion of ties between the two countries.
The new Slovenian envoy, for his part, referred to abundant potentials for cooperation between Iran and Slovenia, underlining the role of private sector in deepening bilateral relations.
He said that his countryˈs parliament speaker is due to pay a visit to Iran in the near future.
