
Ahmadinejad No one can harm ties between Tehran Damascus
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that the enemies cannot harm existing deep rooted and durable ties between Tehran and Damascus.

President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad on Sunday.
According to the Press Bureau of the Presidential office, at the meeting, Ahmadinejad described the two sides relations as sincere, deeply-rooted and durable.
On Annapolis conference, he said it was quite natural that the conference would bear no fruits.
Thanking his Syrian counterpart Bashar Assad for his message, he described the Syrian president as a prominent figure in Arab and Islamic world.
"All should be vigilant not to provide any chance for the outgoing US president to obtain any concession from Palestinian nation," he underlined.
Exchange of views and talks between the high ranking officials of the two sides help bolster and deepen mutual cooperation thus meeting the interests of the two sides, he said.
The Syrian envoy, for his part, submitted the written message from President Bashar Assad and also briefed President Ahmadinejad on the Annapolis conference.
Ties between Iran and Syria is a strategic relation, he underlined.
Syria will never let any individual harm the friendly ties between the two countries, he said.
