Pakistan’s stability, important to Iran

President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday described Pakistan as Iran’s friend and neighbor, stressing Tehran attaches importance to stability and security of that country.

President Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with new Pakistani Ambassador to Tehran Noor Muhammad Jadmani.
President Rouhani hoped Tehran and Islamabad would further widen relations in line with establishment of security in Pakistan.
During the meeting, the Pakistani envoy submitted his credentials to the Iranian President.
For his part, Jadmani said his country is determined to develop cooperation with Iran and take step to fight terrorism.
He said Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is planned to visit Iran in near future.
