The third day of president’s first Provincial tour

President Hassan Rouhani said on Thursday that Khorramshahr and Abadan in this southern province will be declared as free trade zones in near future.

President, who is on the third day of his tour of Khuzestan province, made the remarks while addressing a crowd of enthusiastic people here.
Khorramshahr, he said, should be turned into the ˈtrade pearlˈ of the region.
By developing Arvand zone near Khorramshahr, Basra in southern Iraq will consequently be developed, said the President.
Prior to his Khorramshahr visit, Dr.Rouhani met with oil officials in the city of Darkhivin, 70 km south of Ahvaz in Khuzestan.
In a meeting with oil officials in the city of Darkhuvin, President Hassan Rouhani appreciated supports of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for the Iranian government.
Touching upon the issue of the Geneva deal implementation (to begin on January 20), the President said ˈa new political atmosphere will be createdˈ by implementation of Iran’s nuclear deal with the Group 5+1 which was made on November 24, 2013, in the Swiss city.
Stressing the need for having a win-win negotiation with the world’s Sextet (US, Russia, France, Britain and China plus Germany), President Rouhani said members of the Iranian negotiating team were highly powerful, capable and expert to lead the nuclear negotiations in right course.
Speaking to reporters, President Rouhani said that gradual implementation of the Geneva accord will lead to an economic breakthrough within the next six months.
He said the positive impacts of the Geneva talks will be revealed in the near future.
Economic sanctions on petrochemicals, shipping, insurance, auto parts and banking systems will be lifted within the staid period, said the president.
Lifting of economic sanction will lead to economic boom and grounds will be prepared for foreign investments in the country.
President Hassan Rouhani wrapped up his three-day visit to southern Khuzestan province and returned to Tehran on Thursday night.
Senior provincial officials bid farewell to President Rouhani at Abadan International Airport.
President Rouhani attended Khuzestan Administrative Council and studied problems of the province and also attended a press conference on Thursday.
