Upon his arrival in Tehran, President Ahmadinejad told the reporters that the trip was made after about 34 years and some people tried to overshadow the event and said whatever they wanted.

He termed the visit as “special” and “unrepeatable”.

President said that his visit was unique in its kind and might never happen again.

He also thanked God that Iranian nation's mission was accomplished.

He said that earlier on Friday he had visited the Egyptian Pyramids and the Sphinx and received the Egyptian side’s proposal for lifting visa requirement for tourists, which is very good and positive, and we too, announced that to show good will Iran unilaterally lifts both the tourist and the commercial visas for the Egyptians.

“I think they got the message,” he added.

Outside the airport there was a group of President Ahmadinejad’s supporters chanting welcoming slogans for him.
