“If a convergence is formed between Tehran and Cairo over regional and international issues, many equations will be reformed,” Dr.Ahmadinejad said before departing Tehran for Egypt on Tuesday.

President Ahmadinejad said Iran and Egypt, as two great civilizations, also enjoy prominent political and social standings in the region and the international arena.

“During this trip, we will try to provide the grounds for the expansion of cooperation between Iran and Egypt,” the Iranian president added.
