Dr.Ahmadinejad in a meeting with New Ireland Ambassador:
Resolving global problems need fundamental changes in the international order based on justice
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday that the nations have been deprived of a role in the global governance and that resolving the international crises requires restructuring world governance based on justice.
The president made the remarks in a meeting with new Ireland Ambassador to Iran, Oliver Grogan.
President Ahmadinejad said that Iran and Ireland enjoy ancient and historical ties.
"There is no negative point in the history of the two countries' ties and they can be developed without any restrictions," he said.
The president said that establishing justice will help promote peace, security and sustainable friendship, and that the global problems have been created by those who favor dominance over the world and want to plunder other nation's wealth.
The president called on the nations to help prepare suitable conditions for happy life on the earth.
He said that the problems will not be resolved by war, adding that the arrogant powers that used to support Saddam Hussein of Iraq during the imposed war on Iran 1980-1988 are currently pursuing hostile policies toward Iranian nation under the pretext of national nuclear program.
This is while the Iranian nation has always favored dialogue and interaction and had the most cooperation with the United Nations specialized nuclear agency, he said.
Describing the anti-Iran sanctions as childish, Dr.Ahmadinejad said that Iran has multi-dimension economy which will not fall with sanctions.
Grogan, for his part, said that Iran-Ireland ties are ancient and historical and they have been friends for year.
The ambassador said that Iran is a great nation with millennium civilization, adding that the nation and government of Ireland respect Iran due to its rich civilization and longstanding history with major role in the world.
Ireland is seeking to promote ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran and is determined to continue with cooperation with Iranian government.
