President praises Mirza Kuchak Khan and his companion
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said today that any illusion of superiority plus domineering tendencies, jealousy, unappeasable greed for the material life, and so on are example of negative characteristics that make people drift further away from the path of perfection.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said addressing the First National Congress in the northern city of Rasht to commemorate Mirza Kuchak Khan, the heroic leader of last century’s Jungle Movement for freedom of Iran from domestic despotism and foreign hegemony.
Dr.Ahmadinejad said the more human beings imbibe lofty and humanitarian ideals, the more one becomes free-minded and full of love for God and ethereal values.
Dr. Ahmadinejad said Mirza Kuchak Khan launched his uprising to achieve real freedom, saying that in the glorious history of Iran, he was neither the first person to fight for freedom and the country’s dignity, nor will he be the last in this way.
But, without a doubt, he said, Kuchak Khan has carved for himself an immortal place in Iranian history for his selfless struggle.
