Dr.Ahmadinejad underlines ESCUP s potential to reform world order
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the member states of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) can play a significant role in revising the global management system.
President Ahmadinejad made the remark on Wednesday during a meeting with the foreign ministers of ESCUP in Tehran.
He said that all members of ESCUP are in a united front and added that the vast potentials of the commission should be utilized in establishing a just world order aimed at bringing prosperity to the human beings.
President said the widening gap between the different classes of society in the world is the result of the current development planning system.
He said that the noted system has increased wars, threats and insecurity across the globe, and called for drastic changes to the structure of the system.
