The President made the remarks in a meeting here with the visiting Prime Minister of Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Idris Barzani.

Referring to the historical and all-out relations between Iran and Iraq, the President said bilateral cooperation could be further promoted by activating all potentials between the two capitals.

“Iran fully backs the process of progress and establishment of security in Iraq,” President Ahmadinejad stressed.

President Ahmadinead stressed that security and stability are prerequisites to national progress.

Prime Minister of Iraq s Kurdistan Nechirvan Idris Barzani for his part, said the Iraqi official hailed hailed Iran’s support for Iraq’s integrity and progress.

Nechirvan Idris Barzani stressed that Baghdad was determined to promote its political ties with Tehran.
