The President is in the province on a day-long visit to tour a number of areas which were devastated on August 11 by two earthquakes, measured 6.4 and 6.3.

Later in the day, President Ahmadinejad is also to visit the provincial cities of Ahar and Heris to become closely familiar with problems facing the quake-stricken people of the region.
