President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Wednesday referring to the developments in the region and what is referred to as the spring of nations and peoples, said: “The whole world is moving towards a real spring.
The Iranian president who was in Kuwait to attend the two-day Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit made the remarks in a meeting with the Iranians residing there.
Presence of foreign troops in the Persian Gulf has been always a destabilizing factor for regional security, said President Ahmadinejad.
'Iran has always symbolized beauty, peace and idealism historically, but the enemy should know that it is united against foreign threats and any invader will face a crushing response; Iranian nation wants peace and justice for all nations around the world.'
The high-ranking official noted that ongoing awakening movements around the world signals a bigger international awakening promised by the divine religions, including Islam.
'The world needs a new order and the current order has proved to be malformed to resolve the international problems; presence of foreign troops in the Persian Gulf region is a destabilizing factor for the regional security; the enemy has divisive plots to make regional wars and to make money by selling weapons.
Dr.Ahmadinejad rejected reports about deterioration of Iran and Kuwait relations and asserted that Tehran-Kuwait ties are as brotherly as they have always been.
He added: ‘serving the Kuwaiti nation is similar to serving the Iranian nation in the Iranians' viewpoint.'
