Addressing a ceremony to honor champions and medalists of the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, the President said when a nation decided to reach the highest levels of all fields that would include sports activities too.

Referring to the victories of the Iranian sport teams in London 2012 Paralympics, President Ahmadinejad said, “Such achievements reveal that Iranian athletes and their coaches have believed in themselves.”

Recalling Iran's fourth position in the Asian Games, the President noted in the next Asian Games which is to be held two year later, Iranians should boost their rank.

President Ahmadinejad also ensured that the government would fully support the country's sports.

Iran’s flag should always be hoisted in the world, the President stressed.

He also urged promotion of women sports in the country.

Iranian women can enter the field in all the sports except two or three courses, he said.
