President Ahmadinejad in an interview with “CNN Spanish” emphasized that the Americans seem to think that they are the centre of the world, and that all international relations and trade and cooperation between countries can only take place if they approve of such ties.

President Ahmadinejad pointedly added: “Such a way of thinking is obsolete, out-dated, belonging to the ‘colonialist era’, but today the world has changed greatly and it has moved on”.

President said that today Brazil government seeks more presence in the Middle East; is it related to the relations between Brazil and the United States? Why do Americans think they should allow all international communications and monitor them?

In further comments, President Ahmadinejad said: “Today, powerful countries which manage the world, allow themselves to invade and occupy other sovereign nations, to suppress independence-seeking popular movements, and use the pretext of bringing democracy and freedom to other nations, to militarily invade those countries”.

President said: “Who is the responsible for the spread of terrorism and drug production increase in Afghanistan?

President Ahmadinejad added: “Today, the way the world is managed is full of injustice; it is run in a way which is to the detriment of humanity as a whole”.

In further comments, President Ahmadinejad said just one of the countries which claim to champion human rights and democracy around the world spends a staggering 700 billion dollars on its military per year.

President Ahmadinejad went on to say that the current world order is based upon wars and conflicts, whereas what we really need is a world order based upon peace and friendship.
