President Ahmadinejad said in an interview with CNN TV network.

On a question about Palestine, the president clarified: "we seek elimination of occupation, warfare, killing civilians such as women and children. Formal recognition of sovereignty right for Palestinians could be accounted as the standpoint of I.R. of Iran on Palestine issue. Palestinians are entitled to enjoy the right of freedom, respect, and justice."

On Holocaust, Ahmadinejad explained that banning research on Holocaust as a historical event is itself problematic. If such a historical event has happened, every researcher and historian, thus, is entitled to research freely.

On insolence made to the Prophet Mohammed (P.B.U.H), Dr. Ahmadinejad reiterated: "Fundamentally, first of all, any action that is provocative, offends the religious thoughts and feelings of any people, we condemn."

"Likewise, we condemn any type of extremism. Of course, what took place was ugly. Offending the Holy Prophet is quite ugly. This has very little or nothing to do with freedom and freedom of speech. This is the weakness of and the abuse of freedom, and in many places it is a crime. It shouldn't take place, and I do hope the day will come in which politicians will not seek to offend those whom others hold holy," Ahmadinejad said.

"We also believe that this must also be resolved in a humane atmosphere, in a participatory environment, and we do not like anyone losing their lives or being killed for any reason, anywhere in the world."

"On Syria crisis we believe that violence in that country must be stopped as early as possible, but some countries fuel the opposition in Syria via supplying them by weapons. Freedom, right to vote, respect, and justice are of fundamental rights of all nations", he continued.

"We disagree fundamentally on the attitude in terms of reaching goals through military clashes. Holding consultations with different countries, we have announced that whoever in favor of Syrian people, should prevent intensification and extension of military clashes in Syria, and contribute development of mutual understanding among the engaged sides and holding elections for the people take part in shaping future in this country."

President on September 11 attacks issue said: ‘In order to reveal the truth, it was of wise if one, guilty of September 11 attacks and the following consequences, had been at least gone on a transparent and public trial', said the president.

“Survey done in the US reveals that most people are dubious on the main reasons of September 11 attacks. Every question in this regard raises a controversy, while this event counted as a pretext to occupy two countries in which clashes and conflicts still last. A large number of people are involved daily in this matter without the authenticity of the event is proved", expressed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"No reason gives you the right to occupy a country on the pretext of taking actions against a terrorist group. Facing such an event in the country, Iranians would give their all to find the real and main factors of that. They do not accuse other nations without due documentations", he added.

"The US government could adopt a better way of tackling with terrorism. However, killing more than a million for three thousands intensifies regional extremism rather than terrorism prevention. On the other hand, a part of regional problems stems from less acquaintance of Americans with the cultures and beliefs of people."

Answering a question on Iran's reaction to a possible attack by the Zionist regime, president revealed: "every nation defends itself against any aggression; but the question is why there is a situation in which some let themselves threaten a great historical country like Iran."

Mr. President on the US presidential elections specified that this is within authority and decisions of the American nation. We respect the right to vote for the people of America, and do not present any particular statement in this connection to avoid Interference in the internal affairs of the US.

"I am sure American people are not agreeing upon any further warfare and conflict, because the despotism and unilateralism era is over, and today everyone in the world seeks Friendship, wisdom and humanity."

On a question about restrictions of women and the gay, Dr. Ahmadinejad expressed that there are no restrictions for women in terms of social activities, and doing their personal affairs; the discussion on the gay is a different story. Supporting them originates in the consequences of power and capitalism thought. It is nefarious and unacceptable to all divine religions.

"The problems the human community faces today go far beyond such a matter. It is not justified to speak on such issues while the fundamental rights of humans like freedom, justice, and respect are not realized yet", president Ahmadinejad concluded.
