President highlights Iranian extensive agenda for UN General Assembly meeting
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday an extensive agenda has been drawn up for the United Nations General Assembly meeting after Iran undertook leadership of the 120-nation Non-Aligned Movement.
Talking to reporters at the end of cabinet session, the President hoped that during his presence at the United Nations he would take up the agenda of the Iranian nation and the NAM member states as well.
About his plan for New York visit, President Ahmadinejad said he is to present Iran's stand on the important global problems and offer proposals for removing them.
As part of his plan, Iran's President said he is to hold bilateral meetings there.
He added he is also planned to hold special meetings to review related issues to the NAM member states.
He said that he will make interviews with foreign media and meetings with the Iranians residing in the United States.
President Ahmadinejad further described his visit to New York as the most different one from those in previous years, a reference to his responsibility to take up agenda of NAM member states.
