Dr.Ahmadinejad stressed the need for creating the necessary structures to implement decisions of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), and holding consultation sessions on the sidelines of the 67th UN General Assembly meeting in September attended by important NAM members like Pakistan.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called for a group to be established to contact both sides of the Syria crisis in order to help to restore peace and stability in the Arab state.

“A group should be established to contact both sides in order to guide issues toward establishment of tranquility, peace and understanding [in Syria],” said president Ahmadinejad.

President Ahmadinejad expressed grief over the loss of lives in the fire incident in Karachi and floods.

President said he was shocked at the losses as the result of fire at factories and floods.
