"A political solution should be introduced to the crisis in that country (Syria) and Iran is talking and negotiating with different countries to that end," Dr.Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Michel Suleiman on Thursday evening.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement summit here in Tehran, Suleiman, too, stressed the necessity to find a negotiated solution to the Syrian crisis.

"The most effective move to resolve the crisis in Syria is arousing a will in the two conflicting parties to negotiate with each other and reach an agreement to protect their homeland and country," the Lebanese president noted.
