
President in a meeting with president of Central African Republic:
Trade should keep up with political relations with CAR
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday that economic relations and cooperation between Iran and Central African Republic (CAR) should keep up with excellent level of political relations.
President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with President of Central African Republic Francois Bozize on the sidelines of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit of Leaders.
Dr.Ahmadinejad described Iranian relations with CAR longstanding and said the Islamic Republic of Iran and CAR have similar constructive views on regional and global developments.
Deeply-rooted ties and political relations along with common views on international issues have prepared the ground for expansion of economic and cultural relations between the two countries which should be utilized, President Ahmadinejad said.
President Ahmadinejad called for formation of Iran-CAR joint economic commission at the earliest opportunity.
Referring to Iran's significant achievements and capabilities in many fields, the President voiced Iran's readiness to transfer its experience and know-how to Central African Republic.
The CAR's president for his part described administration of the 16th NAM Summit in Tehran as excellent and expressed the hope that the movement would attain its goals with success.
He called for making use of both countries potentials in many fields and said that CAT is incumbent to enhance level of mutual cooperation.
He expressed satisfaction with existing solidarity between the two nations.
