Making the remark in a meeting with Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, he expressed hope that more effective and constructive measures are taken to the interest of the member states in the new NAM term.

The meeting took place at the sidelines of the closing day of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit.

Terming Tehran-Khartoum relations as special and growing, he said there is still room for promotion of bilateral ties.

The Sudanese president thanked Iran for hosting the summit and voiced his country's readiness to enhance ties with the Islamic Republic.
