Oman welcomes cooperation in all fields between the two friendly countries, the Royal Court said in a statement.

"God willing, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is visiting Oman.

Sultan Qaboos welcomes personally the president and his entourage in Muscat."

The two sides are expected to hold discussions on issues of mutual and regional interests within the framework of profound cooperation between Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran and in line with the willingness of heads of the two states.

The tour is in line with the interests and in favor of the two nations, the statement read.
