President Ahmadinejad said that he has properly explained Tehran's stances regarding major issues affecting the Islamic world.

Referring to the quick pace of events in the region, President Ahmadinejad said each of the attending states at the OIC summit had its own viewpoint and their final decision was made based on the conclusion of all exchanged views.

The President made the remarks while speaking to reporters upon his arrival from Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Thursday noon.

He said that he conveyed Tehran's viewpoints very clearly to the participants of the OIC summit in Mecca which ended Wednesday night.

The President stressed that Tehran deemed it necessary to take part in major regional gatherings to set forth and register its viewpoints at any official meetings.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran left here for Tehran Thursday morning after attending an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in this holy city.

On the sidelines of the OIC Summit, the President held separate meetings with his counterparts from Turkey, Sudan and Guinea Bissau to discuss major bilateral, regional and international issues.

He also made a day-long pilgrimage visit to the holy city of Medina.
