In a meeting with special envoy of the Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, he referred to Iran-Pakistan çommon culture and religion and said, “We are a big family living in a single ship.”

“Our fates are linked to each other and we have common interests requiring us to stand by each other all the time,” he said.

Confirming Pakistan’s policy regarding the developments unfolding in Syria, Dr.Ahmadinejad said that Iran, like Pakistan, believes in political means to solve the current crisis in the Arab state.

Criticizing certain regional countries for their involvement in Syrian conflict, he added that anybody who fans the flames of crisis in the country is not a friend of Syrians.

Soghra Emam, for her part, said her country insists on political means for solving Syria crisis.

She further pointed out that Pakistan has always respected Syria’s territorial integrity, national sovereignty and independence and underlines the aliens’ non-interference in the other countries’ affairs.

Pakistan opposes exerting any force and military intervention in other countries, she said.
