Addressing a group of officials and personnel of the ministry of intelligence, president Ahmadinejad appreciated services of "pious and noble personnel" of the ministry of intelligence and said it is about 33 years that the Iranian nation are in direct struggle with global arrogance and the role of this ministry is of high importance.

Dr.Ahamdinejad made the remarks on the eve of birthday of Lord of the Time Imam Mahdi (May God Hasten His Reappearance), the last Imam of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Infallible Household. Personnel of the Intelligence are called the Unknown Soldiers of Imam Mahdi”.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has remained committed to the principles and spirit of the Islamic Revolution in campaign with conspiracies of the global arrogance and bullying powers, he said.

The Islamic Revolution is the biggest event after emerge of Islam, underlined the president adding that this revolution is continuation of path of prophets and its goal is to struggle with bullying powers.

“If we claim to be committed to our principles, we should continue struggle with conspiracies of the global arrogance led by the US," he said.

"The enemies try to weaken Iran by tight sanctions but to no avail."

The President downgraded impacts of oil sanctions on Iranian economy and said that oil revenues make up for 10 percent of national economy so that the sanctions will make the nation work harder to bolster national economy independent of crude oil exports.

"We should resist against pressures and live through this stage with honor and respond to the hostile policies of enemy by moving past the sanctions very mightily and powerfully," Dr.Ahmadinejad said.
