Dr.Ahmadinejad made the remark in a joint meeting of high-ranking delegations representing Iran and Venezuela in Caracas on Saturday.

“All nations should have constructive role in the establishment of a new world order based on justice and freedom and should expand cooperation toward achieving growing dignity and progress,” he added.

He said the signs of the collapse of global hegemony and imperialism were obvious in the world today, adding that domineering powers have pooled all their resources to counter sovereign and freedom-seeking nations and to block their progress under various pretexts including human rights and democracy.

The Iranian chief executive criticized the Western-style freedom and said under the pretext of establishing democracy; domineering powers invade other countries and create divisions among nations to expand their domination across the globe.

He said Iran will stand by Venezuela in the fight against hegemony. He also described Iran-Venezuela ties at the highest level and added, the two countries have made the best use of their potentials to promote closer ties.

Chavez, for his part, praised Iran's efforts to expand full ties with Venezuela and said the Venezuelan government and nation, backed by the capabilities and with the assistance of their friends, have taken big steps toward achievement.
