President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran always backs the Sudanese people and spare no efforts to help broaden ties between the two countries.

President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Sudanese presidential adviser Mustafa Osman Ismail in Tehran on Tuesday.

Global arrogance and the enemies of humanity were pressurizing independent states such as Iran and Sudan, he said.

This is among responsibilities of all nations and independent states to unanimously stand up to bullying powers, he said.

This situation will not continue for so long and there is no doubt that the pious, resistant and patient nations will score victory, said.

Referring to broad based cooperation and relations between the two countries, he called for utilization of all existing capabilities in both countries to help deepen all out relations and cooperation between the two sides.

The Sudanese envoy, for his part, submitted a written message from Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to President Ahmadinejad and called for expansion of relations between the two countries in all sectors.

He called for use of Iran’s valuable experiences in various fields.

The two sides also called for upgrading of current level of relations and cooperation.
