President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday stressed expansion of Iran’s ties with Cyprus, Thailand, and Montenegro in separate meetings with their ambassadors.

In a meeting with the Ambassador of Cyprus to Iran, president said that Iran sees no limits in its ties with Cyprus and is interested to promote bilateral relations to the highest level.

“Iran always seeks the resolution of all issues and differences in the world and thus defines draws up and implements its international policies based on this stance, “said president Ahmadinejad.

The Cyprus new envoy presented his credentials to President Ahmadinejad and said that he will do his best for promoting his country’s ties with Iran during his mission.

Describing the Islamic Republic as a significant player in the region, he said that Cyprus hopes Iran will help resolve the regional crises.

President Ahmadinejad also in a meeting with the new Thai envoy said that there is no negative point in Iran-Thailand longstanding ties.

"Today, Tehran-Bangkok ties are excellent and Iran will try to promote them to the highest level.

He pointed out that bilateral ties will benefit both countries and the entire region.

The Thai envoy presented his credentials to President Ahmadinejad and said that his country was willing to boost ties with Iran, in particular, in trade and tourism.

Meanwhile, in a meeting with the Montenegro envoy, President Ahmadinejad said that culture and cultural commonalities have helped ties between the two states.

If the nations develop their ties based on human and cultural values, international interactions will be more friendly and strong, he said.

Describing Iran as the home for all his friends and brothers, President Ahmadinejad said, “Victory, dignity and future world belong to us.”

The envoy said that Montenegro has numerous cultural commonalities with Iran hoping that they will serve as a ground for further deepening Tehran-Podgorica ties.

Iran is a powerful country, he said, “I believe friendship with Iran will have many benefits for Montenegro.”
