President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that public security is major duty of police to promote national production.
Addressing police commanders, he said the efforts of police force without people's cooperation would never bear fruits.
President said: "police forces should uphold dignity of people and respect them while carrying out their duties.
The President highlighted the significant achievements and performance of the police force in the country that spare no efforts to carry out their duties.
Administration of a country engaged in a fierce battle with global arrogance is not an easy task, he said, adding that maintaining unity would help us attain such a significant goal.
High morale and sprite of the police forces helped them set a successful record over the past 33 years, said the President.
President Ahmadinejad thanked the police force for their services to the nation and expressed his satisfaction to this effect.
