He was welcomed by 1st Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi at Mehrabad Airport coming back from the third International Nowruz Celebrations and the Fifth Afghan economic Conference in Dushanbe.

After the two meetings, he took part the Third Tripartite Iran-Afghanistan-Tajikistan Meeting and the Quadrilateral Meeting of Iran-Afghanistan-Tajikistan-Pakistan which took place on Sunday in Saman Palace in Dushanbe.

President Ahmadinejad arrived in Dushanbe on Saturday to attend the four events and held talks with his counterparts there.
