Iran backs any plan to establish peace and security in Afghanistan
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Monday said that Iran will support any plan to establish peace and security in Afghanistan.
President Ahamdinejad made the remarks in the meeting with Asif Ali Zardari was held on the sidelines of the Fifth Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA V) underway in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, for two days.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Pakistani counterpart underlined the need for further expansion of all-out ties, particularly in the area of economy.
President Ahmadinejad’s meeting with his Pakistani counterpart ended his three-day visit to Tajikistan.
President, currently in Dushanbe to attend the third International Nowruz Celebrations and the REECA V, is to leave for Tehran later today.
