President opens housing projects in Gilan province
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad simultaneously opens projects including 13,500 housing units across the northern province of Gilan.
The president, who arrived in the province Monday morning, then planted two siblings in the town of Khomam near the provincial capital of Rasht to celebrate the Week of Natural Resources and Watershed at the site of one of the housing projects.
The president is to inaugurate the operational phase of 11-kilometer Manjil-Roudbar freeway later on the day.
He will also inaugurate a dentistry faculty, a rural gas project, a joint investment project with Japan and a number of telecommunications projects.
