President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday unveiled six new medicines developed by the Iranian scientists for treatment of mortal diseases.

The new drugs included two brand-new compositions and four basic materials for drugs to be used for treatment of incurable diseases.



Manufacturing of these 6 materials will save 68 million dollars for the country.



Addressing a ceremony to unveil the medicines, the President said Iran’s achievements in science, technology, medicine and healthcare areas enjoyed very high pace.



Such a progress will enable Iran to offer services to patients and at the same time fight the global mafia now dominating the medicine market, he said, adding that the Islamic Republic should turn into a major exporter of medicines.
