President made the remarks at inauguration ceremony of Iran’s Namayesh TV Network , on Wednesday .



President Ahmadinejad said: “The TV network will provide a good opportunity to achieve better TV and cinematic productions and the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) is the best public organization available to do this.”



The IRIB must make the best use of its potential to make more and better productions, and the government needs to provide increased support to The IRIB and Namayesh TV Network, he added.



The President also said that Iran needs at least 100 TV channels over the next two or three years, and that Iran can turn itself into a beautiful and profound example for the rest of the world.



Dr.Ahmadinejad concluded that he sometimes watches movies on the Namayesh TV network if he finds the time; he also wished good health for the veteran actor Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz who is not feeling well these days.



IRIB director Ezzatollah Zarghami, also present at the ceremony, said that the network provides movies around the clock, adding, “The TV network has been broadcasting programs during the test run with over 400 films and has received positive results so far.”



We are trying to broadcast appropriate movies in addition to good animations to meet the needs of the youth and a selection of movies from the world cinema, Zarghami said.
