President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in cabinet meeting in Tehran on Sunday, while referring to his recent five-day tour of Latin America and high potential for cooperation with the Latin American countries.



'Expansion of ties with Latin American states takes place within the framework of macro policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran and in line with strengthening of ties with independent states at international arena vis-a-vis extravagance of the colonial powers,' he added.



President Ahmadinejad commissioned Vice President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou to pursue the precise execution of the treaties with Latin American countries and presenting his report in this regard to the government.



The president urged the efforts by all institutions and organizations in pursuing and precise implementation of the memoranda of understanding and bilateral agreements between Iran and Latin American countries, particularly by Roads and Urban Development, Oil, Economy, Industry, Mine and Trade, as well as Foreign Ministry.
