President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with Ecuador's National Assembly Speaker Fernando Cordero Cueva on Friday.



President Ahmadinejad said expanding ties and relations between the two countries and nations are upon common and close viewpoints of governments and parliaments of both countries and in spite of geographical distance, there is no distance in thoughts of justice seeker and freedom lovers of Iranian and Ecuadorian people.



He called Ecuador a lovely land with sincere people and referred to his meeting with President Rafael Correa and meetings between senior officials of the two countries to consider ways to remove obstacles in the ways of expanding relations and cooperation.

He expressed hope that with the support of Ecuador National Assembly, bilateral cooperation will be further developed through exploiting all the existing capacities.



Dr.Ahmadinejad called efforts for establishing justice among the most important elements for social prosperity and well being and added that justice in a society means equal opportunity for all humans.

Iranian nation wants prosperity, peace, friendship and security for all nations, including Ecuadoran nation, and Iranian government and nation will stand next to Ecuadorans.



Referring to current unpleasant situation of the world, the president said that we believe that current situation will change, because nations have been awakened.



Fernando Cordero Cueva, for his part, expressed pleasure over meeting with President Ahmadinejad and said that the two countries have many commonalities and are united in achieving development and both are determined to fight against cruelty and poverty.



He called for expansion of parliamentary ties between Tehran and Quito and evaluated economic interaction between the two countries positive and added that Iranians have an effective culture and the message of Ecuadoran nation to them is a message of love, friendship and brotherhood.



Cordero also praised Majlis speaker and deputies' efforts to establish parliamentary friendship group between Iran and Ecuador.
