Making the remark during a joint press conference with his Venezuelan counterpart Monday evening local time, Dr. Ahmadinejad and Chavez lauded the strategic ties between the two countries and emphasized that the expansion of politico-economic relations would serve the interests of both nations and prove beneficial to regional peace and security.



The two presidents also called on the imperialist and extremist powers to stop interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and cautioned independent governments and nations to remain vigilant against plots hatched by the hegemonic powers.



The Venezuelan president, for his part, reiterated that the two allies can take steps toward the fight against hegemonic policies through bolstering mutual relations.



Chavez added that the imperialist system resorts to threats and bullying in persisting attempts to dominate nations and noted that the world is currently in need of a new world order.



Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said the remarks of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad echo the inner feelings of millions of world people.He said millions of people in Africa, Asia and even Europe are presently waiting restlessly to see Dr.Ahmadinejad in their countries.



Chavez also said that the US was unhappy with Dr.Ahmadinejad’s visit to Venezuela because Washington was scared of spread of Iran’s ideas and ideals across the world.



He said hegemonic powers worried that the joint voices of Iran and Venezuela which echo freedom, honor and justice will shake the columns of their dominance.
