He stressed on the necessity for vigilance of the governments and nations of the region against the enemies’ plots to influence recent developments in the region.



President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in Tehran on Thursday.



Referring to the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers principles such as freedom, justice, democracy and the right to determine their fates as the rights of all nations, President Ahmadinejad noted that the governments should act in a way as to recognize these principles for all nations.



“Iran defends the rights of nation’s vis-à-vis the occupying forces and big powers and it is always besides the regional countries and freedom-seekers of the world,” he added.



Dr.Ahmadinejad stressed that close cooperation between Iran and Turkey could help establish security, stability, and peace in the region, adding that, “Iran welcomes the continuation of talks with Turkey at various levels.”



Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu for his part said that Turkey also willing to continue holding talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran and expansion of bilateral ties.



“Turkey also considers the political developments taking place in the Middle East as Islamic awakening and it also considers the efforts by Imperialism for penetrating in these developments as harmful to Muslim World,” he added.
