Expansion of relations lead to regional advancement
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Monday in a meeting with water and energy ministers of Afghanistan and Tajikistan strengthening unity, understanding and cooperation has lead to 3 countries' advancement and security.

President emphasized, 'The extent of our power, advancement and invulnerability depends on the extent of relations among our three countries.'
President Ahmadinejad appreciated the positive and constructive trend of cooperation and harmony among the minister of the three countries aimed at serving the people, adding, 'Today the three countries are amid a brotherly and devoted atmosphere after serving their own nations and countries, and beyond doubt this cooperation would lead to the wellbeing, advancement and boosted security of the three nations.'
He described the relations among the three governments of Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan as 'special', and intermingled with one another form 'the depths of their shared history.' Dr.Ahmadinejad added, 'These three countries are like the limbs of the same body that share the sorrows and the happiness of one another.'
The president pointed out that Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan have shared cultures, religions and interests, adding, 'Today conditions are provided based on which the three countries can take advantage of the possibilities of one another aimed at accelerating the advancement, the development and the wellbeing process of their nations.'
He emphasized, 'In addition to strengthening their historic, cultural and religious relations, the three countries must boost their brotherly and lasting social, economic and infrastructural relations more than ever before to serve the interests of their nations.'
President Ahmadinejad referred to the numerous opportunities of the three countries for improvement of comprehensive relations, arguing, 'All three countries enjoy special possibilities and capabilities and if these would be put side by side of one another they would guarantee the advancement of the three countries.'
The president said that increased cooperation in the field of water and energy is of significant importance in the relations among the three countries, adding, 'Iran is ready to offer its possibilities and its experiences related to water usage to Afghanistan and Tajikistan.'
He reiterated, 'Beyond doubt, precise and appropriate planning and reaching agreements would provide for the ease and wellbeing of the three nations.'
Dr.Ahmadinejad said that the advancement and security or Tajikistan and Afghanistan are the security and advancement of Iran from Tehran's point of the view, arguing, 'The future history and fate of the three countries would be written as a result of the present day efforts that are taking shape based on brotherhood and devotion, and in fact such efforts lead to long lasting results, such as the security, peace, friendship, and development of the region.'
In the meeting the Energy and Water Minster of Afghanistan Mohammad Esma'eil Khan, too, considered Iran's advancement in various fields a pride for the Islamic Ummah (nation), arguing, 'The fact that Iran offers the experiences that it has gained at very high cost easily to the countries that are in need of them is a valuable act that must serve as a model for the entire nations and should be fully appreciated.'
The Minister of Energy and Industries of Tajikistan Shir Ali Gol, too, in the meeting referred to the appropriate level of cooperation between Tehran and Dushanbe, adding, 'The people of Tajikistan would never forget Iran's supports for them.'
