"Through the vigilance and insight of Iraqi officials and different factions, the recent development in forming a government ended completely in the interests of Iraq despite the enemies and ill-wishers' attempts."



Dr.Ahmadinejad made the remarks, in a meeting held on the sidelines of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Summit in Turkey.



President Ahmadinejad reiterated Iran's support for the independence and security of all regional countries, and stated, "Iran considers Iraq's security, progress and development to its own and the region's benefit and completely supports it."



president further voiced Tehran's support for Baghdad's bid to join the ECO.
