The meeting ended its one-day work with a speech by Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.



The summit agreed to hand over next G15 presidency to Sri Lanka.



Iran, Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Venezuela and Zimbabwe are the G15 members.



Group 15 was established in September 1989 to develop economic cooperation among developing countries.



The G15 is a group of 18 developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America and was set up to foster co-operation amongst members and other international groups.



The G15 focuses on cooperation among developing countries in the areas of investment, trade, and technology.
