The document was signed by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Teyyip Erdogan here on Monday.



The statement, read out by Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, at the session, envisions all members’, including Iran’s, right to have nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.



“We stress commitment to non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and related materials, distinguishing without any discrimination the right of all the members, including Iran, to produce and use nuclear energy and enrich uranium for peaceful purposes.”



It said the time has come to launch a progressive movement in a positive, constructive and non-confrontational atmosphere to proceed into engagement and cooperation.



“We believe that nuclear fuel swap will serve as a ground for cooperation in all fields, especially peaceful nuclear cooperation, including establishment of nuclear power plant and research reactor.”
