“Iran and Turkey can play an effective role in checking continued destruction of environment in four corners of the globe,” said President Ahmadinejad in a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul on the sidelines of the the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.



President Ahmadinejad said Tehran and Ankara should use all capacities available to upgrade mutual ties and cooperation.



Gul said in return that multi-faceted Iran-Turkey cooperation will serve interests of the Iranian, Turkish, regional and world nations.



He added that Turkey is ready for all-out expansion of relations with Iran.
