
President Ahmadinejad off to Denmark for climate conference
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad left here for Copenhagen, Denmark, Thursday morning to attend the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15).
President Ahmadinejad was seen off at the airport by First Vice-President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi.
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei and Senior Advisor to President Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi are accompanying President Ahmadinejad in his visit to Copenhagen.
The Iranian president is to address the climate conference, after his arrival in Copenhagen later on Thursday.
He is also due to confer with a number of senior officials participating in the conference and meet with a group of the Iranians residing in Denmark.
The president will also meet a group of the Danish media officials.
