The president made the remarks in a meeting with head of Political Bureau of Palestine Resistance Movement (Hamas) Khalid Mashal.



He said that with the grace of Almighty God, the situation is now changing to the benefit of freedom seekers round the globe and the enemies are doomed to fail.



President Ahmadinejad said that the humanitarian catastrophes created by the US and Israel have made them subject to hatred in the world.



"The humiliating defeats Israel suffered in Lebanon and Gaza and inability of the US president who vow to bring new changes to the globe and their failure in Iraq and Afghanistan have brought disgrace for the US and the Zionist regime."



Countdown for the fall of the global arrogance and the Zionist regime has started, he said adding that the Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation has turned to the frontline to fight global arrogance.



Palestine is the manifestation of campaign against Israeli occupation, underlined the Iranian president.



He said that given the wise and tactful stands of Hamas and the Palestinian resistance, Palestine is to set a new yardstick for global developments and victory will be for the pious people.



Iranian nation and its government always back the resistance of the oppressed Palestinians, underlined President Ahmadinejad.



Khalid Mashal, for his part, lauded the powerful stands of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, President Mahound Ahmadinejad and the Iranian nation over various international issues and said Iran has turned to an exemplary model for world nations and countries.



Hamas, and the Palestinian nation are determined to continue their struggles to attain final triumph in fight against Israeli occupation, he said.



He also briefed the Iranian president on the latest developments in Palestine and said the pious Palestinian nation is determined to thwart the most complicated plots hatched by the enemies.



Repatriation of all Palestinians to their motherland is the among ultimate goals of Palestinian nation, he said.
