Speaking in an interview with Iranian TV on Tuesday night, President Ahmadinejad said, “In an era when all are seeking globalization, speaking about isolating a country is either because of the speakers’ ignorance or their arrogance.”

“Global relations won’t let it happen about Iran and such a thing is impossible,” the president added.

He expounded on the ‘unique characteristics’ of Iran and especially its geographical position and said Middle East is the most important region in the world because of its economic, geographical, cultural, and historical conditions. It is also the cradle of faiths, center of energy and a crossroad for the continents.

“Any country which wants to have a decisive role in the global relations, should first have an effective presence in the Middle East,”

“ In such an important region, Iran’s position in human resources, scientific abilities, political and economic potentials, and geographical position is not deniable.”

“Iran has always been a decisive element in the political relations of the Middle East and the world and any country which wants to have a global role, should come to the Middle East and so needs Iran,” the president said.

Referring to the presence of Iran in Africa and Latin America in addition to the Middle East, President Ahmadinejad said speaking about isolation of Iran comes from the arrogance of the hegemonic powers and belongs to the past.

“Iran and many other countries do not accept the system of dominance in the world. The literature and the influence of the hegemonic powers are on the brink of collapse. They have power but lack common sense and cannot do anything,” the president said.

“Their speaking of Iran’s isolation is in our favor. We tell the nations that the behavior of hegemonic countries is out of their arrogance and nations accept our stance and we do not sustain loss,” the president said.

“ Hegemonic powers are not more that five or six countries, but they expect all the world to obey them. This has been fading away after the Islamic Revolution and especially in the past few years,” the president said.

President: My recent trips represent Iran’s strategic influence

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said his recent trips to Africa and Latin America once again showed the strategic influence and the extent of relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the world.

The president said his recent visits to Gambia and Senegal in Africa and Brazil, Venezuela, and Bolivia in Latin America, showed that the western propaganda on Iran’s isolation is baseless.

On his achievements of his visit to Brazil, President Ahmadinejad said, “In spite of enormous pressure from the west and the Zionists on Brazil, they gave us a warm reception and the two sides are willing to develop relations.”

“Brazil is seeking a new order in the world and the viewpoints of its revolutionary president are close to ours,” the president said.

Referring to appropriate ground for cooperation between Tehran and Brasilia, the president said, ” They made good suggestions in the agricultural cooperation and Iran’s private sector can have lands in Brazil and receive agricultural facilities.”

Referring to the low level of relations between the two countries in the past, President Ahmadinejad said,” This was the first visit by an Iranian president to Brazil in the past 40 years. We have very close viewpoints with the revolutionary president of Brazil.”

The president referred to the peaceful use of nuclear energy in Brazil and said they have nuclear power plants but they do not produce their fuel and are interested to get help from Iran in this regard.

President Ahmadinejad said the efforts made by the Zionists in Brazil are futile and the government of Brazil is not worried about these efforts but they are worried about the military bases made by the US in some Latin American countries.

“US has completely lost people in Latin America and wants to enter the region by military force an example of which is the coup in Honduras and some other efforts which will certainly defeat.”

On his tip to Bolivia, President Ahmadinejad said, “Bolivia has been under US control for 100 years and the Americans have looted all its wealth.”

“Now, the people of Bolivia have awakened and their president is a revolutionary and we have good economic and political relations with them and Iranian firms and engineers can work in that country."

On his visit to Venezuela, the president said the biggest economic agreement in the history of Iran was signed with Venezuela.

“President Chavez is a revolutionary and a supporter of the Islamic Revolution of Iran’ the president said.

“Iran and Venezuela are cooperating in building houses and an Iranian firm is building 10,000 houses in Venezuela of which 4,000 have already been built,” the president said.

Ahmadinejad said big projects on producing milk, flour, tractors, cars, banks and a common fund have been launched. “In my trip to Venezuela, 70 Iranian firms with 140 experts and merchants made agreements worth of 5 billion dollars which is unprecedented in the history of the two countries,” the president said.

President: Nuclear issue is no more relevant

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said nuclear issue, in our opinion, is over and we do not have a nuclear issue to negotiate on with others.

The president referred to the west’s stances towards Iran’s nuclear program and IAEA’s recent resolution against Iran and said,” We were interested, from the beginning, to solve all the problems related to the nuclear issue. Now, the issue, in our opinion, is over. No matter how much hue and cry they make.”

The president said, ”We act according to the laws. We want our rights and nothing more. We have answered all their legal questions, but we have ignored their hustle and bustle.”

“Whenever they have adopted something illegal, we have officially announced that we do not recognize it.”

“We are sure that England was against the Geneva negotiations which were on the right course for mutual understanding. The Zionist regime was also strongly against the understanding.”

“Some other countries, in my opinion, were deceived. Russia made a mistake. Russia does not have a careful analysis of today world situation.”

The president said independent countries should set up new mechanisms outside the world old order and cited the establishment of a bank by Iran and Venezuela and said other countries are trying to join this bank.

He also emphasized the importance of Non Aligned Movement and said Iran will assume presidency of the Movement in two and a half years and will continue efforts made by countries like Malaysia, Cuba, and Egypt to strengthen NAM.

President: Iran is not seeking Atomic bomb

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, referring to IAEA’s recent resolution against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, said there is no room for atomic bomb either in our defense doctrine or in our industrial and economic programs.

The president said what the western countries say about Iran’s ambitions to make atomic bombs is irrelevant.

Referring to Iran’s recent interactions with IAEA, President Ahmadinejad said, ”We suggested that we exchange low-enriched uranium with high-enriched uranium.”

“ IAEA is duty bound to give fuel to Iran without any conditions. Exchange of 400 or 1,200 kg of fuel does not matter for us, because we have the technology of uranium enrichment.”

The president criticized those who inside Iran made a hue and cry on the exchange plan and added certain circles in the west were also against it.

“We never victimize the prestige of the Iranian nation in any deal,” the president said.

Ahmadinejad: Sanctions have no effect on Iran

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the west sanctions against Iran are ineffective and stressed that the west has done whatever it could do against Iran so far.

In an interview with the Iranian TV on Tuesday evening, Ahmadinejad responding to a question concerning the possibility of imposing sanctions against Iran by the west on its nuclear program, said that they have already done what they could , so they want to impose sanctions on what?

Concerning possibility of sanctions on gasoline, he said that we have designed a system that makes us able to produce our needed gasoline just in one week and now we are producing another material which can substitute gasoline immediately.

He added that we produce food and machinary here for internal use and export as well, and that they need us more than what we need them.

Whether these sanctions have any negative effects or increase expenses on people life, Ahmadinejad answered that they might have effects, but it cannot put Iranians life under constant pressures and there are ways to compensate and we have done it.

Are you really not worry about military threats against sensitive centers in the country? the reporter asked and the president said that Iran is a big country with 72 million people, so who wants to do such a thing?

Ahmadinejad President Obama's behavior is worrying and continued that Iranian wished he succeeded in creating principled changes.

"But he did not succeed to do something important; he should move in direction of changing arrogant policies," said Ahmadinejad.

Concerning cooperation level with the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA), President Ahmadinejad said that Iran's cooperation with the agency has been over regulations and more than related laws so far, and now we intend to decrease it to the border of law.

Head of Supreme Council of National Security referred to a number of analyses concerning possibility of attacks by the Zionist regime against Iran’s nuclear sites and said that everybody knows about Iran’s reaction to any illogical actions.

Ahmadinejad said that we have complaint about IAEA, especially Mr. El Baradei, but we know that he is under pressure.

He stressed that we heard Mr. El Baradei had tried to tell them that they are wrong, but his effort had been futile.

Concerning the latest news on construction of 10 nuclear sites in Iran, Ahmadinejad said that these sites had already been designed and we were not obliged to declare it, because it is an indigenous industry, but six months prior to injecting gas, we will declare it to the agency.

He added that construction of these 10 sites are on government agenda and nuclear sites with 500,000 centrifuges have already been designed.

Natanz site had been designed for 50,000 centrifuges, but the new ones have more capacity than Natanz.

According to the report of Organization of Atomic Energy five places have been located for construction of these sites, the president said.

President: IAEA’s resolution against Iran is legally baseless

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, by expounding on western countries' behavior in nuclear negotiations to pave the way for the latest resolution of IAEA, said the resolution is legally baseless.

In a live interview with Iranian TV on Tuesday night, Ahmadinejad said that Iran told the west in the negotiations that considering our ability to produce high-enriched Uranium, we take our right reserved, but we want to do a fuel exchange.

We proposed for interaction, but unfortunately the Zionists and the British insisted that we must send our fuel abroad and our answer was no, the president said.

He said we told them this is a business and you have no right to make condition and this is the most ridiculous position that the IAEA has ever taken so far.

He added we have no problem and I am telling my nation that there is no place for being worried; we produce it ourselves, because we own the technology.

We gave the west an opportunity, but they could not use the opportunity, he stressed.

Ahmadinejad said we informed them about Fourdou site while it was schedueled to inject gas there one and half years later, but we informed them one year earlier.

The president said we are a member of IAEA, but it doesn’t mean that the agency imposes its views on us; we became a member to do our work and they supervise our functions.

He reminded that a country has atomic bombs, it is not a member of the agency and is not obliged to any commitment, but they ignore it, on the contrary, we are a member of the agency and we observe laws and regulations, we are cooperating and have no arsenal, but they condemn us.

Ahmadinejad added that these procedures are legally worthless, they have already been experienced and the west wants to re-experience them again, and we do not expect some people, especially Mr. Obama whose behavior is really worrying.
