During the meeting, Saeedikia referred to the barbaric crimes being committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza Strip and underlined the need for all Muslim countries’ solidarity in support of the Palestinians.

He pointed out that Iran favors an immediate halt to the attacks, full withdrawal of Zionist forces from the land, reopening of border crossings, especially Rafah, lifting siege on Gaza, providing food and medicine supplies to the defenseless Gazans and trial of Israeli criminal leaders.

The Yemeni president, for his part, appreciated Iran’s stances on the Palestinian and Lebanese movements and stressed the need to fully coordinate the two countries’ views on Gaza.

Expressing his country’s readiness to cooperate with Iran on Gaza, Saleh welcomed Iran’s proposal to hold a summit of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) on Gaza.

Saeedikia arrived in Sana’a at the head of a delegation on Friday.
