“There are many analyses on Zionist regime’s invasion on Gaza; one analysis is that Zionists’ attack on Gaza Strip is a propaganda scenario on the eve of change in the US administration,” President Ahmadinejad told reporters prior to leaving Tehran for Doha, Qatar, to attend the extraordinary Arab League summit.
President Ahmadinejad said since Zionist regime is the US' tool and base in the region, there is an analysis that the Zionist regime has conducted the most savage attack on defenseless and oppressed Gaza people so that the new US government would tell Zionists in a humanitarian scenario and gesture to stop their crimes in Gaza as soon as possible on the ground that Palestinian people too have some rights.
“Taking such an analysis to be true, it is unjustified because one can not resort to barbarism and enormous crimes in the case of defenseless Palestinian people for political ends. How can they convince themselves and resort to barbaristic and the historically unprecedented aggression in line with their goal, dropping the most sophisticated US missiles on the oppressed Gaza people?” questioned the president.
This is not at all defendable, he added.
“They falsely think that they can meet their objectives through such plans but to no avail because nations are aware today,” he added.
“There are yet many (other) analyses on Zionist regime’s Gaza strike. One analysis is that the Zionist Regime has committed the crime as a cover to its defeat in Lebanon. Another analysis is that they (Zionists) seek weakening or removing Hamas,” he added.
Elsewhere in his remarks, President Ahmadinejad touched on the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Chief, Abdoulaye Wade’s Tehran visit and said the OIC states have high economic and political power which can be used in favor of the oppressed Gaza people and for stopping Zionist regime’s crimes.
He hoped that the extraordinary Arab League summit, to which Iran has been invited, will be successful in forming an executive committee to use Muslim states’ potential to defend Palestinian people’s essential rights.
