
President Scholars elites should find new paths for humanity
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called on domestic and foreign scholars and scientists to find new paths for humanity.

"It is a long time that mankind and its true nature have been forgotten and people have turned into selfish, greedy and profiteer creatures," said the president in his address to the opening ceremony of the 2nd International Farabi Festival.
The gathering is participated by a large number of prominent domestic and foreign instructors, researchers, and experts who are to exchange views on various scientific issues.
"Now, it is time for you to reconsider bases of human sciences in order to find new paths for all human being," said the president in his address to the audience.
He stressed that in the present "sensitive juncture of history," scientists and scholars shoulder a heavy responsibility for helping mankind find its way to salvation.
Meanwhile, President Ahmadinejad honored 33 domestic and eight foreign selected scholars for their works.
Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, Mohammad-Mehdi Zahedi, was also present in the ceremony.
