President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday that big powers have reached an impasse in terms of military, economic and political issues.

"Finally, bullying powers would leave our region. They are not capable of dealing with their own business and are faced with political, military and economic problems," said the president in a meeting with Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmad al-Khalifa.

"Despite of adopting various resolutions against Iranian nation and threatening them, big powers failed to defeat Iranians... They have no option but to interact with our nation," President Ahmadinejad said.

Referring to Iran's friendly relations with the regional countries, the president said that enjoying amicable ties with other nations would help further political and economic relations with them.

President Ahmadinejad urged regional countries to resolve their problems in cooperation with each other.

"Iran always has a message of friendship and brotherhood for all countries both in the region and in the entire world," said the president.

Referring to regional security as an "important and sensitive" issue, President Ahmadinejad said, "Those who want to dominate our region and loot it, are not interested in amicable ties between regional countries."

Meanwhile, Al-Khalifa said that Tehran and Manama enjoyed cordial relations.

Stressing Bahrain's constant support for Iran, Al-Khalifa said expansion of bilateral relations between regional states would prevent foreign forces to continue their presence in the region.
